Workshop Administrator – £15.01ph plus Hol Pay – Central London/East London 

Start ASAP for one month initially 

*This role will be based in a workshop environment, please take this into consideration if you have any breathing conditions*

 

This post will be split between two sites, so for some weeks you’ll be based in Central London for the whole week and others you will be based in Central London for two days and East London for three. You must be prepared to travel between sites, with prior notice.

THE ROLE 

Duties

  • Assist the Director and other managers within the department in the regular creation of timetables, schedules and process maps and other goal related documentation as required
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of the team
  • Liaising across both sites to ensure all Permanent Staff and Temporary Technical Staff are aware of deadlines, calendar events, important deliveries, and other scheduling or calendar events
  • Arrange facility meetings and produce accurate and concise minutes, maintain action logs ensuring prompt circulation and follow-up on action points as directed
  • Complete inventories in-person and digitally, assisting in the maintenance of the Shops’ stock and regularised procurement
  • Provide ordering support during student shows to the project team to ensure prompt delivery of materials and the effective use of the show budget
  • Carry out other duties within the scope, spirit and general purpose of the post

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Experience of servicing meetings and events
  • Previous experience in a production environment
  • Experience of dealing effectively with a wide range of people
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
  • A strong team approach, customer focus and a willingness to work flexibly to meet changing circumstances and demands.
  • Excellent time-management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively with the ability to produce high quality work quickly and accurately
  • Ability to use initiative
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise work from multiple projects/programmes
  • A can-do attitude and willingness to go the extra mile
