Start ASAP for six months initially

 

We are recruiting for an experienced Communications Officer to join one of London’s leading Universities.

 

THE ROLE

Provide communications support to projects (40%)

  • To support projects
  • To draft communication plans for projects
  • To produce engaging content for communication channels

Provide communications support to Business Change Managers (40%)

  • To assist with the development and delivery of communication plans
  • To produce communication materials as identified in the Business Change Plan
  • To produce training and user guidance materials
  • To support the Manager in organising communication activities for their projects (e.g. events, drafting invitations, creating posters)
  • To produce engaging content for communication channels E.g. The newsletter, forums etc.

Provide a central communication function (20%)

  • To develop an overarching comms plan
  • To co-ordinate communications e.g. Scheduling newsletter articles, awareness, raising items at meetings,
  • To maintain webpages
  • To provide admin support for communication tasks (e.g. Creation of surveys, EventBrite forms / PowerPoint slides)

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

 

  • Excellent communicator
  • Excellent written skills
  • Writing skills – produce engaging copy that is engaging and carefully tailored for the right audience
  • Copy skills – will focus on the benefits to the end user
  • You will use your understanding of the different communication channels available to create content for a variety of different audiences
  • Ability to understand IT / translate IT for a lay audience
  • Experience of creating training and guidance materials.
