We are recruiting for an experienced Course and Placements Administrator to join one of London’s leading Universities. If you have previous experience gained within a Higher Education institute, we’d love to hear from you!



The post holder takes specific responsibility for coordinating clinical placements, module teaching and assessment; for supporting the manager in the daily operation of the centre including room bookings and the administration of Trust student ID and access cards and lockers. The role is student-facing with cross-cover for other staff in the team to ensure a high-quality service to students and teachers across modules and placements.



  • Manages local module teaching and assessment activities and clinical placements
  • Student liaison and first point of contact
  • Timetabling and organising integrated clinical placements, Introduction and Orientation Modules and firm specific teaching activities
  • Quality assurance of clinical placements teaching and review of student feedback responses
  • Organising formal teaching sessions/small group teaching/tutorials
  • Providing local teaching materials
  • Arranging firm inductions for students
  • Allocating auditors/module tutors to each student
  • Arranging end of module sign-off sessions as required
  • Collating assessment materials and recruiting examiners as required
  • Facilitating module/placement assessments including assisting at formative module assessments
  • Monitoring and reporting student absences
  • Assisting the Leads and Module Administrators with tasks required for the effective running of high-quality clinical placements
  • Contributes to the daily operation of the Centre including general student queries, room bookings, provision of Trust ID and access cards, student lockers
  • Contributes to the continuity and cross cover of placements
  • Assists at summative assessments
  • Works to Medical School Service Standards and develops and manages Standard Operating Procedures for student services and placements administration holder.



  • Experience of working in an administrative role
  • Working with senior staff in an academic institution
  • Working in a student-facing environment or similar
  • Servicing committees and minute taking
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal pleasantly, confidently and effectively with colleagues and students
  • Excellent English language skills, including accurate grammar, spelling and punctuation
  • High level of expertise in using Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work methodically and accurately with close attention to detail
  • Ability to manage complex logistics in different electronic presentations
  • Ability to manage own workload through effective ordering of priorities and good organisational ability
