Are you an experienced Administrator who can manage a complex mix of cases whilst ensuring the highest standards of Customer Service are provided? Would you like the opportunity to work within a regulatory body? If so then read on.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the scheduling and coordination of all fitness to practise
  • To draft and publish allegations and hearing information on the website
  • To manage multiple suppliers
  • To provide support and guidance to witnesses and others attending hearings who may be distressed or vulnerable
  • To provide an established point of contact for Partners, service providers and interested parties
  • To liaise with external lawyers, legal assessors, panel members, registrants, suppliers, union representatives and other relevant external bodies
  • To liaise with all employees internally
  • Undertake additional or other duties as required
  • To provide cover for Hearing Officers at Fitness to Practise hearings if the need arises
  • To travel to various locations in the United Kingdom to provide support to vulnerable witnesses giving evidence at hearings
  • To understand the information security requirements for information accessed or processed in carrying out the duties of the role, treating the information with appropriate care as set out in the Information Classification and Handling Policy

 

  • THE PERSON
  • Ability to manage the scheduling and organisation of complex multi-party hearings
  • Ability to plan and prioritise conflicting requirements under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to monitor and manage varying caseloads with a flexible approach to prioritisation in line with service standards
  • Strong written communication skills with an understanding of the importance of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Sound working knowledge of Windows and bespoke software packages, with the ability to provide statistical reports to management and external suppliers when required
  • Knowledge and understanding of working within a procedural framework.
  • An understanding of professional regulation
  • An awareness of budget limitations when booking external services
  • Experience of working independently using planning and facilitation skills
  • Experience of complex problem solving with the ability to make relevant decisions autonomously
  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to manage and support people from all levels and from a diverse range of backgrounds, dealing with issues sensitively and tactfully
  • Experience of working with committees or panels in a tribunal type environment
