Start Monday 22 January for up to 3 months initially

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Trials Administrative Assistant is part of the administration team and supports the Trials Administrator and Trials Manager in the day to day running of the on-going trials. This is a busy role assisting with filing, dispatching and other duties as listed below.

MAIN DUTIES

  • To print and mail trial literature in required languages (protocols, summaries, patient leaflets, newsletters etc) and planning ahead to ensure a continuous supply
  • To prepare and dispatch custom made trial folders to collaborators around the world
  • To prepare and dispatch country specific ethics application packs
  • To package and mail gift incentives and certificates to collaborators around the world
  • To prepare conference packs and teaching session packs
  • Timely distribution of all of the above, keeping accurate records of dispatches
  • To order office stationery, to monitor and service the fax machine, printers and other office supplies
  • To prepare and mail promotional mailshots using MS Word mail merges
  • To file trial documents including confidential patient data
  • To enter trial data forms into the trial database
  • To contribute to team meetings
  • To undertake any other task required by the Trial Administrator, the Trial Manager or the Clinical Co-ordinator, commensurate with the level of the role
  • To provide support, as necessary, to Head of Unit.
